A few years ago, I wrote three songs that revolved
around the immediacy of childhood being and
the inevitable movement toward adulthood.
I called them all Sassa, each with its own subtitle.
It later occurred to me that I have more songs
that explore themes of time, origin, and presence.
The paradox of being fully rooted in the moment
while simultaneously moving forward.
The project is still simmering
in the back of my mind.
If you are interested in following its development,
you are welcome to do so here.
Until then, I would like to share
one of the songs with you.
It is called “Flower Girl”
and is written for the beautiful
painting of the girl with the flowers,
created by Marie Fredborg.

I consider myself a ‘weaver of tales ’
— someone who crafts magical stories.
Like bridging between reality and imagination.
